The rays of sunlight stream through my windows in my heart

To give this morning a brand new start.

My eyes are opened to receive from You

The words of Your scripture, incorruptible and true.

Your opened book, the word of God, lying near to me,

Beckoning, wooing, calling me, near to see.

The very nature making it clear the knowledge of You.

My soul cries out to Thee, yearning to be free

Love me sweet Jesus, keep me safe for eternity.

This is my beloved, the Lord and I,

He travels always at my side, waking, sleeping always there,

Letting me know He really cares.

Arise my beloved, take my hand,

Guide me through Your promised land.

My beloved Lord knows no boundaries, His love flows from me to you.

Open your heart and say to Him, will you please step right in?

My beloved is very possessive, He asks all of me;

To serve Him and give my heart freely.

I have no problem, for you see,

Jesus is my beloved ane my beloved lives in me.

Pour yourself out to others, as I pour Myself out to you.

The dew of My Heavenly Father, that's pure without stain;

The life giving waters are sweetness to the soul,

And My glory mixed with rain.

The reign of My Heavenly Father will remove blemishes and pain.

O rise My beloved now, I speak to you

Come away with Me from your torment;

Fly with Me to the heavenly realm, for I and the Father are one.

Your life with Me has just begun.

My sweet child, you and I are one.

The Comforter is here for you

For the pain that dwells inside,

I have the keys of hades and hell

Let Me in where darkness is, there I yearn to dwell.

I and the Father are one, abide in My and I in you

For there is much work to do.

Lay your head upon My shoulder

Put weight upon My arm

Learn from Me, My sweet child,

My sweet endearing one.

Location

The sanctuary of Bread of Life Foursquare Gospel Church is located on 5179 W. Washington, Los Angeles, California 90016. It is easily reached from the Santa Monica Freeway, exiting La Brea Blvd. North. At the intersection of La Brea and Washington Blvd., turn left. About 1/2 mile west, you will see Bread of Life situated on the north side of the street.

Who We Are

Bread of Life Foursquare Gospel Church is a hands-on ministry devoted to meet the needs of the whole person spiritually, physically and emotionally, just as Jesus Christ did. Pastors Nancy Eskijian and Ellen Wohl, work alongside a dedicated team of leaders, including Revs. Ernesto and Nora Cuellar , and many others, to minister to the needs of everyday people through the power of the Holy Spirit. and the Word of God.

What We Believe

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, He is our Savior (saving us from sin and the power and results of it, from hell, and from demonic bondages and curses, as well as much more), our Healer, healing mind emotions and bodies, Baptizer in the Holy Spirit, filling us with power to live a holy life and do the works Jesus did, and Soon Coming King—He will come again to rule and reign. We believe that God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, work in perfect unity, and that God loves us with a passion. We believe that we have fallen from God’s initial plan through sin, but we are brought close to the Father again, because Jesus Christ shed His blood on the cross taking on Himself our sins as the perfect sacrifice, and the eternal separation and penalty for sin we would have experienced. We believe we are given the power of a new life by the same resurrection power that raised Jesus from the dead, and through the work of the Holy Spirit in us. We believe that heaven is the reward of the believer, but that we are to move in kingdom power and purpose on earth. We believe salvation is gift from God for EVERYONE who believes, no matter where you are at. We can’t earn it, only receive it.

Our Vision

The Lord Jesus Christ be high and lifted up and we become people on fire with the Holy Spirit for Him, loving and serving the Lord and others.

Our Mission

We, at Bread of Life Foursquare Gospel Church, believe that we are placed in this community, city, nation and world, to minister:

The love, acceptance and forgiveness of Jesus Christ to the sinner
Healing and restoration to hurting hearts and broken lives, and sick bodies
Deliverance to the captives, whether it be from the powers of evil, habits and addictions, or limited lives
The truth of the Word of God to the seeker
Empowerment and anointing for ministry to the disciple
Evangelistic outreach and service to the community
Release to divine destiny for all believers.

Our Short Range Goals

We desire to transition to a larger property so we can have the following multi-service faith center.

Church sanctuary
Expanded kitchen and dining area
Resource Center
Cooking school
Food warehouse—Bread of Life is a “Joseph church” for the community
Training and work rooms
Offices and Sunday school rooms
Housing for those coming off the streets, and low income housing.

Our Long Range Goals

Build churches and orphanages--go to the nation and the nations
Expand the ministry in many media
Bring salvation and healing to hurting people
Send out ministers to reach the world.
